A favorite creation by Homemade Mama! Binky Blanky!
If you've ever had a child who uses a pacifier (binky), you know the story.
It's the middle of the night, your child awakes, crying. You know it's not hunger so you realize they have lost their binky again.
You stumble through the darkness, fumbling around in the bed looking for their binky. You wonder how it is these things can fly so far, and dissapear so magically!?! You don't dare turn on the light for fear of your child waking more fully, so you continue to fumble in the dark.
Finally, you find it under the bed in the furthest corner, you dust it off and give it back to your child who accepts it eagerly, and falls back asleep.
This isn't a new story, it's been happening in many homes, many nights, many times.
When our children were young, all five used binky's even though I was an avid nurser.
They all loved their bink's, some more then others.
When our twins were babies, we had THREE using binky's and we spent many nights searching hopelessly for that lost binky.
Finally, I found a solution!
I would tie their binky around one corner of their 'blanky' which was a soft flannel fabric blanket.
This solved the problem, for a while. The knots always came out though, and then we'd be left with a paci-less blanky and a crying child.
Back during this time I always wished I had a way to 'snap' the binky to the blanket!
I want to help other parents avoid those needless trips each night, in search of the mysteriously dissapearing binky!
